Majhi Ladki Behan Yojana : Maharashtra government’s new scheme ‘Majhi Ladki Behan Yojana’ has started from 17 August 2024. Under this scheme, more than one crore women of the state will be given financial assistance of Rs 1,500 every month.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that women whose bank accounts have been checked will be transferred Rs 3,000 for two months. This scheme has been specially designed to provide financial assistance to women from economically weaker families. Its objective is to promote the development and education for women in state.
Who can avail this scheme
To avail this scheme, eligible women must be permanent residents of Maharashtra. The age of participants should be between 21 to 65 years. Married, unmarried, divorced and homeless women can also apply for it. The applicant must have a bank account and his family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.

Who will not get the benefit of that scheme
- Women whose family’s annual income is more than Rs 2.50 lakh.
- Women whose family member pays income tax.
- Women whose family member is an employee of any government department/undertaking/board/Government of India or State Government.
- Women who are getting benefit of Rs 1500 or more per month under any scheme through other departments of the government.
- Women who have a four wheeler (except tractor) registered in the name of their family members.
How to apply for the scheme offline?
Women’s who are unable to apply online for the scheme can contact Anganwadi worker, Setu Suvidha Kendra, Gram Sevak, Asha worker or Ward Officer. No fee is charged for this application. The name, date of birth and address of the applicant should be filled correctly as per the Aadhar card. Also fill the bank details and mobile number correctly.
How to apply offline for the scheme?

The government has launched a mobile app for citizens to register in this program. This app has been named ‘Nari Shakti Doot’ app. Through this, any beneficiary can register his name in ‘Mazhi Ladki Behan Yojana’. This app is available for both Android and iOS mobiles. That means, to take advantage of this scheme, you can easily register yourself from your mobile sitting at home.
