Maruti Suzuki India, the largest carmaker in the country, launched the latest edition of its compact sedan, the All-New Dzire, on Monday. The updated Dzire is available at prices ranging from ₹6.79 lakh to ₹10.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). According to PTI reports, Maruti Suzuki has stated that it will continue focusing on the needs of all customer segments to sustain its leading position in the domestic market.
30 Lakh Units Sold
Maruti Suzuki India’s MD and CEO, Hisashi Takeuchi, highlighted that the Dzire has been a global success, with around 30 lakh units sold. Despite the SUV segment’s growth, Maruti Suzuki continues to focus on other segments to retain its top market share. The company invested ₹1,000 crore in developing this model.
Great Mileage
The new Dzire offers excellent mileage: 24.79 km per litre for the standard model, 25.71 km per litre for the automatic, and 33.73 km per kg for the CNG variant.

Safety Features
In the Global NCAP crash test, the new Dzire received a 5-star rating for adult safety and 4 stars for child safety.
Over 40 per cent market share
MSI Senior Executive Officer (Marketing and Sales) Partho Banerjee said the company endeavours to serve all customer segments. MSI currently has over 40 per cent market share (wholesale) in the total domestic passenger vehicle segment.
In terms of retail sales, the company recorded its highest-ever performance with 2.02 lakh units in October. It has a market share of over 50 per cent in the sedan segment. In the entry compact-sedan segment, which also includes Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura etc, MSI’s market share is over 61 per cent in the April-September period of this fiscal.
