Heavy rain warnings in these areas
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains with thunder in the capital Delhi and North-Western states. Along with this, IMD has issued a red alert in light of the possibility of heavy rains in five of the country’s states. Delhi has received an orange alert for rain.
South Gujarat’s Vadodara, Surat, Bharuch, Navsari, and Valsad are also expecting heavy rains. In addition, the districts of Amreli and Bhavnagar have received a warning of heavy rains. Floods in these areas still have the potential to trap a large population. However, authorities are also transporting people to safe areas. We expect it to persist for the next few days, up to August 29. Delhi, NCR, has issued a yellow alert for rain.
The possibility of torrential rains exists in many states.
We expect continuous pressure increases in north-west Madhya Pradesh and adjoining eastern Rajasthan. We expect rains here for the next three days. Many areas of Gujarat, Goa, and Maharashtra have issued a warning of heavy rains. In addition, Bangladesh is expected to remain a low-pressure area.
