Weather Update: Most of the country’s states are currently facing severe heat. Due to the scorching sun and intense heat, it is becoming difficult for people to live in the month of April itself. An alert has been issued regarding heat between 5 and 9 April in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning given a heatwave in Madhya Pradesh on 7-9 April, southern Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh on 7 and 8 April.

Meanwhile, a new Western Disturbance will move into the western Himalayan regions from April 8. Due to this, rain may be in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and  Uttarakhand between 8-11 April. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding thunderstorms and strong winds.

Heat Wave Alert in These States
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert given the heat wave situation in Delhi till April 8. The temperature will remain between 40 and 42 degrees. The Meteorological Department has also issued a heat wave alert in the plains. The Meteorological Department said a heat wave will likely occur in different areas of Saurashtra and Kutch, South Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh from April 5 to April 9.

Rain warning in these states

The Meteorological Department has warned of thunderstorms and lightning in eastern India between April 7 and 9. The Meteorological Department says rain may be recorded in Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu on April 5 and 6. Apart from this, similar weather can be seen in Andaman and Nicobar on April 5 and 6. An alert has been issued regarding rain in Northeast India from April 5 to 9, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand from April 7 to 9.

Hail will fall in Assam and Meghalaya on April 5 and 6, and in Bihar on April 8. Apart from this, heavy rains will occur in Kerala, Mahe, and Tamil Nadu on April 5 and 6.

The weather may also change in Maharashtra. In the next two days, hailstorms may be seen at some places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. The Chennai-based Meteorological Center says that heavy rains are expected at isolated places in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode, Theni, Dindigul, Salem and Tiruppur districts.
