Weather Update: Heat has started increasing in North India. The temperature of the plains is continuously increasing. However, snowfall is still continuing in the hilly areas. Due to western disturbance, changes in the weather are being seen in plain regions like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain and hailstorms in different areas of 12 states, including Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, heat has started showing its effect in Delhi-NCR.
Temperatures are continuously increasing in some parts of western and southern India. But there is still a relief from the heat waves. The Meteorological Department says there is a possibility of rain with stormy winds in different parts of Uttar Pradesh until March 22.
Weather conditions in Delhi
Heat has started showing its effect in Delhi-NCR. Now an increase in day and night temperatures is being seen. People have also started running AC along with fans.
The heat will make people sweat as the weather will remain dry till next week. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 38 degrees. The temperature remains 31.5 degrees Celsius till March 26.
Rainfall alert in these states.
According to the Meteorological Department, hailstorms are likely in some areas of eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand and Odisha in the next two days, i.e. on March 22 and 23. An alert was also issued regarding hailstorms in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Gangetic plains in West Bengal and Bihar on March 22.
The Meteorological Department says there is a possibility of rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder in most areas of Arunachal Pradesh from March 21 to 23. Apart from this, heavy rain and heavy snowfall may also occur in some areas of Arunachal. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder may be seen in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura during the next four to five days.

According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on Saturday, light rain with thunder and lightning can be seen in many districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in Kaushambi Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur areas. An alert has also been issued regarding strong storms and lightning in some areas.
