Monsoon Update: Due to monsoon rains, flood-like situations prevail in many states of the country. Most states are experiencing heavy rains, which is disrupting traffic due to waterlogging.

People in many areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are facing a lot of problems due to continuous heavy rains. Rain has caused heavy waterlogging on the roads, making vehicles crawl. Rain has also disrupted many parts of UP, making everyone’s lives miserable.

Talking about Delhi, the weather remains very pleasant. Because of the rain, people have gotten relief from the humid heat. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast of heavy rains at different places in Bihar, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands.

The national capital, Delhi, expects sporadic rainfall throughout the week. Due to rain and thunderstorms, bad conditions remain in many areas of South India. Rivers, drains, and ponds are overflowing in many places due to rain. IMD has issued an alert for rain in many of the country’s states.

Heavy rain warnings in these states

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rains in many areas of West Bengal, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Apart from this, heavy rains are expected in many parts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh and South India. The weather in UP and Bihar has prompted the issuance of a rain alert. The authorities have issued a warning for continuous heavy rains for the next six days.

In the coming days, heavy rains are expected in Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra for the next four days.

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding heavy rains at many places in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and Chandigarh. Apart from this, sporadic rains are also expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh, and eastern Rajasthan.

According to IMD, a forecast has been issued for heavy rains in West Bengal, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura. Apart from this, a warning has been issued for heavy rains in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and the South Peninsular region. Heavy rains are expected in some areas of Uttar Pradesh and northwestern states.

Light rain is expected in Delhi tomorrow, i.e., on August 20. Heavy rains may occur in the northern Bay of Bengal and surrounding areas.
