Weather Update:- The cold and dense fog outbreak is increasing in many parts of North India, including Delhi-NCR. On Saturday evening, light rain occurred in some areas of Delhi and Noida. But today, visibility was very low on Sunday due to dense fog. The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert given the coming week’s rain conditions, thick fog and cold days. According to the Indian Railways, about 25 trains coming to Delhi are running late due to fog in the national capital and parts of North India.
The IMD has issued an alert for thunderstorms, hailstorms in northwest and central India, and rain in western areas. According to the Meteorological Department, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh may rain on January 12.

Rain warning
According to the Meteorological Department, rain with thunder is expected in Nagaland, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India on January 13. Light rain has also been forecast for some places in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and coastal Andhra Pradesh from January 12 to January 15.
Snowfall forecast
Due to the western disturbance, rain and snowfall will occur in the west Himalayan region on January 11-12. This period will continue, especially in Uttarakhand, Himachal Prades, Jammu, and Kashmiri. A new disturbance is also expected on January 14.
Cold day and fog forecast
Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh will experience cold weather on January 12. In addition, dense fog will trouble people in the morning and at night from January 2 to January 16 in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, and some parts of the northeastern states.
Snowfall in Himachal today
The effects of cold winds continue in Himachal Pradesh. The local Meteorological Department issued an alert on Sunday due to light rain in the lower areas and plains. Snowfall is possible in various places.
The Meteorological Department says that a new western disturbance may affect northwest India from the night of January 14, 2025. Light rain and snowfall are expected in some places in Himachal on Thursday and Friday.
