While some places have seen rain, many areas of the country are still submerged due to the ongoing rains. Heavy rains are continuing from North India to the South, filling rivers, drains, and ponds with water.
In some parts of Bihar, people got relief from sticky heat due to late-night rain. Flood water has entered homes in many parts of the state. Waterlogging has also destroyed farmers’ crops. Temperatures have dropped due to heavy rains in some parts of Jharkhand. The hilly areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have witnessed rains accompanied by thunderstorms. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has now issued a warning of heavy rains in many areas of the country.
Light rain will occur in Delhi.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cloudy weather in the national capital, Delhi, for the next three days, including Sunday. In the state, there is no special chance of rain. We expect a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius on Sunday and a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. We expect very light rain between Wednesday and Friday next week. Then, we anticipate a two to three degree Celsius drop in temperature.
Flood havoc in West Bengal
These days, West Bengal is in the grip of floods. Despite the decrease in the water level in the flood-affected areas, water still submerges a large part of many districts in the state. The situation remains scary in various areas of Howrah, Hooghly, and West Medinipur districts. People affected by floods are spending time in relief camps. The situation is so dire that boats are transporting the sick to the hospital. At present, more than 10,000 people have sheltered in about 500 relief camps.

The IMD has issued a warning of heavy rains in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and coastal Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. In addition to these areas, we anticipate heavy rains in North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Delhi, UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana expect rains. Some parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana have received rain warnings.
