Jharkhand government has launched ‘Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana’ program for the women in Jharkhand . To make them financially strong, women between the ages of 21 and 50 will be given financial assistance of Rs 1000 every month. This will deposit Rs 12000 annually in the account of women of the state. Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana’ has been specially designed keeping in mind the poor and deprived women. The benefit of this scheme will be given to women belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and those living below the poverty line. The estimated budget of Rs 40 to 45 lakh rupees has been settled by the Jharkhand Government.

What is the eligibility for the scheme?
- Only the native women of the state Jharkhand will be benefited by the scheme. For this, they will have to show their residence certificate.
- A age limit between 21 to 50 years ha been set by the Jharkhand Government to avail the benefits of the scheme.
- Interested women can apply for this scheme by visiting their nearest Panchayat office.
- To avail the benefits of the scheme, women should have a green, yellow, pink or orange ration card.
- If any member of a woman’s family is in a government job or pays income tax, then that woman cannot take advantage of this scheme.
