PM Awas Yojana: There has been a change in the terms and conditions of PM Awas Yojana Gramin. Now the eligible villagers selected for the scheme will be scrutinized at many levels.

A meeting will be held in the presence of the Gram Panchayat Officer in all the Gram Panchayats, in which eligible villagers will be selected. Action will be taken against the concerned secretary who selects the ineligible.

Giving this information, CDO Neha Bandhu said that the eligibility conditions of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin have been changed so that the ineligible are not able to take advantage of this scheme. The applications will be scrutinized at many levels so that the ineligible are not able to take advantage of this scheme.

Now these will also be ineligible

Earlier, apart from having a two-wheeler and a refrigerator, the applicant was considered ineligible if the monthly income of any member of the family was 10 thousand. Now a person with a three-four wheeler vehicle and a person of the family having a monthly income of Rs 15,000 or more will be considered ineligible.

He said that meetings will be organized by the Gram Panchayat Secretaries in all the Gram Panchayats, in which the villagers will be given information regarding the revised standards and survey of the scheme.

Apart from this, a register will be kept in every village. This register will be called Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Beneficiary Selection-2024 Register. All the information related to the selection will be recorded in this register.

Money will be given in three installments

The CDO said that this register will be observed by the BDO. Apart from this, he also gave many other information regarding the scheme.

Under this scheme, eligible applicants will be given a grant of Rs 1.20 lakh for housing construction in three installments. So far, more than 24 thousand villagers of the district have benefited from this scheme.
