Rajasthan Weather Update: On Friday, the Meteorological Department issued a rain alert in many districts of Rajasthan. During this time, it has issued an update about heavy rain at some places and moderate rain at other places. Rain has made people miserable in many districts, including the capital, Jaipur, for the past few days. A flood-like situation has arisen due to continuous rain in Jaipur. At the same time, rivers have started flowing in Sariska due to plentiful rain in Alwar district.
There is a chance of rain in these districts today, according to the Rajasthan Rain Alert.
Orange Alert: There is a strong possibility of intermittent light to moderate rain with thunder at some places in Bikaner, Churu, Nagaur, Ajmer, Bundi, Jodhpur, Pali, and Jaisalmer districts and heavy rain at some places.
Yellow Alert: Today, light to moderate rain is likely at some places in Jaipur, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur, Sriganganagar, Rajsamand, Sikar, Pratapgarh, Jalore, Sirohi, Bharatpur, Barmer, Dholpur, Hanumangarh, Udaipur, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Baran districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy/very heavy rains will continue in some parts of the state on August 16. There is a strong possibility of heavy rains stopping from August 17–18. Heavy rains will resume in eastern Rajasthan on August 22.
After August 17, there is a possibility of a decrease in rain activity in eastern Rajasthan. In the next 3-4 days, there is a strong possibility of moderate to heavy rains with strong thunderstorms and lightning in some parts of western Rajasthan’s Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions. We expect light to moderate rain in some parts of Udaipur division in the coming days.
