Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana was announced by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot, in the financial year 2016-17. Under this scheme, an amount of ₹50,000 will be provided to the girls of Rajasthan for their education from birth to intermediate level.

This initiative by the Rajasthan Government aims to develop a positive outlook towards girls in society while improving their health and education levels. Financial assistance of ₹50,000 will be given in 6 unequal instalments, starting from the birth of a girl child until her 12th-grade education. This benefit applies to births in government medical institutions and private medical facilities listed under the Janani Suraksha Yojana on or after June 1, 2016.

Details of Installments under Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana

  1. First Installment: ₹2,500 will be provided at the birth of the girl child. This amount is in addition to the amount payable under the Janani Suraksha Yojana.
  2. Second Installment: ₹2,500 will be given on the first birthday of the girl child after she receives all the necessary vaccinations.
  3. Third Installment: ₹4,000 will be provided when the girl child is admitted to Class 1 in any government school.
  4. Fourth Installment: ₹5,000 will be provided when the girl child is admitted to Class 6 in any government school.
  5. Fifth Installment: ₹11,000 will be provided when the girl child takes admitted to Class 10 in any government school.
  6. Sixth Installment: ₹25,000 will be provided after the girl child successfully passes Class 12 in any government school.

Benefits of Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana 2024

  • The benefits of Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana are available exclusively to the citizens of Rajasthan.
  • Girls born on or after 1 June 2016 will receive financial assistance of ₹50,000 under this scheme.
  • The total amount of ₹50,000 will be provided in 6 unequal instalments, with the first instalment given at the time of the girl’s birth.
  • Efforts will be made to link all girls receiving the first instalment with the Anganwadi Centre through the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).
  • In case the girl receiving the benefits of one or two instalments passes away, the next-born girl will be eligible for the benefit.
  • The scheme will promote institutional deliveries.

Eligibility Criteria for Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana 2024

  • The applicant must be a native of Rajasthan.
  • All girls born on or after 1 June 2016 are eligible for this scheme.
  • The parents of the beneficiary must have an Aadhar card or Bhamashah card.
  • The girl child should be born either in a government hospital of the state or in a private medical institution authorized by the Medical and Health Department.
  • The first two instalments will be given to all girls born in a government hospital and private medical institutions registered with Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY).
  • Apart from the first two instalments, the remaining instalments will be provided only to those girls whose family has no more than 2 living children.
  • The girl’s education should also be in educational institutions run by the state government.
