Renowned industrialist of the country and the world, Ratan Tata is no more in this world. He breathed his last at the age of 86 in a Mumbai hospital late on Wednesday night. He was undergoing treatment at Kandy Hospital in the middle of Mumbai for a long time. There is mourning in the industry as well as in the country due to the death of Ratan Tata.

His last rites will be performed on Thursday with state honors. Many personalities of the country including President Draupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi have paid tribute to Ratan Tata’s death. His full name was Ratan Naval Tata. A day of state mourning has been declared in Jharkhand on the death of Ratan Tata. CM Hemant Soren has announced a day of state mourning in the state.

Draupadi Murmu expressed grief

The President of the country Draupadi Murmu has also expressed grief over the death of Ratan Tata. She wrote on the social media platform X that with the sad demise of Ratan Tata, India has lost a great personality who linked corporate development with nation building and excellence with morality.

He further wrote, Honored with Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan, he carried forward the great legacy of Tata and gave it a more impressive global presence. He inspired experienced professionals and young students alike. His contribution to philanthropy and charity is invaluable. I express my condolences to his family, the entire team of Tata Group and his fans around the world.

PM Narendra Modi wrote an emotional message on X

PM Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the demise of Ratan Tata. He wrote on X that Ratan was a visionary business leader, a kind soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses.

His contribution went far beyond the boardroom. PM Modi, one of the most unique aspects of Ratan Tata was his passion to dream big and give back. He was at the forefront of supporting some issues like education, health care, cleanliness, animal welfare.
