Big news for school students. There is good news for school students of government schools in Bihar. The Bihar School Education Department has released the calendar of school holidays for the year 2025. Under this, schools in Bihar will be closed for a total of 65 days i.e. more than two months next year.
Apart from this, if you include seven days of Sunday, then students will get the benefit of 72 holidays in 2025. These changes of the education department will be applicable to all government and government-aided schools. This holiday calendar is not mandatory for private schools. Summer and winter vacations will also be given to teachers and students of government schools in Bihar. There is a holiday for 10 days from Diwali to Chhath and 20 days in summer, so teachers will give homework to the students. When the school opens, it will be the responsibility of the teacher to evaluate the homework.
Bihar School Holiday List 2025
Schools will remain closed between December 25 and December 31, 2025.
The schools will remain closed from June 2 to June 21 during the summer vacation. Teachers will also benefit.
In 2025, schools will remain closed from October 20 to 29 on account of Dhanteras, Deepawali, Chitragupta Puja, Bhai Dooj and Chhath Puja.
In the new calendar, Bihar will get the highest number of holidays on the occasion of Chhath as compared to other festivals.
There will be enough leave in Teej and Jeeva Putrika Vrat. Apart from this, schools have been ordered to be closed on the birth anniversary of great personalities.
Makar Sankranti, Raksha Bandhan, Jitiya, Hartalika Teej, Anant Chaturdashi etc. have also been discharged.
The moon is important in the Muslim festival, so the holiday can be changed after the sighting of the moon.
