Kalash Sthapana Muhurta: On the first day of Sharadiya Navratri, Kalash Sthapana is done with complete rituals. This year, Kalash Sthapana’s auspicious time is from 6:07 am to 9:30 am on October 3. On October 3, Kalash can be installed in Abhijeet Muhurta from 11:37 am to 12:23 pm.
Kalash Sthapana Material: In Hinduism, installing Kalash is essential in all auspicious works. It is regarded as a symbol of happiness, prosperity and wealth; for Kalash Sthapana in Navratri, water, betel leaf, Akshat, Kumkum, mango leaf, Moli, Roli Kesar, Durva-Kush, betel nut, flowers, thread, coconut, grains, red cloth, etc. are used in the Kalash.
Method of Kalash Sthapana
1 – Look for a clean and sacred place for Kalash Sthapana. This place should be in the east or north direction.
2 – At the time of Kalash Sthapana, put rice, wheat, barley, moong, gram, coins, some leaves, Gangajal, coconut, kumkum, and roli in the pitcher and place a coconut on top.
3 – Tie a mauli on the mouth of the pitcher and apply tilak with kumkum. Install the pitcher on a stand.
4 – Then decorate the Kalash with an ashtanga lotus with Roli and rice.
5 – Chant the mantras of Goddess Maa and offer water to the Kalash and light incense sticks.
