The journey of IPS Tripti Bhatt
Tripti Bhatt, an IPS officer hailing from Almora, Uttarakhand, was brought up in a household primarily made up of educators. As the oldest of four siblings, she attended Birsheba Senior Secondary School in Almora and finished her 12th grade at Kendriya Vidyalaya. After obtaining an engineering degree from Pantnagar University, she began her career as an assistant manager at the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
Before passing the UPSC exam, he made the daring choice to decline 16 job offers from several government bodies, including the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). A significant event in her life occurred when she was in Class IX and got the chance to meet the late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. In the meeting, he gave her a handwritten letter that motivated her dedication to serving the country.
In her initial attempt at the UPSC civil services exam in 2013, Trupti achieved the 165th rank and chose the IPS service. She was assigned to her home cadre and began her career as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Dehradun. Subsequently, she worked as SP in Chamoli and later took on the position of Commander of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) in Tehri Garhwal.
At present, she holds the position of SP for Intelligence and Security in Dehradun. In addition to her career successes, Trupti has also distinguished herself in athletics, securing gold medals in marathons and state-level badminton events. Skilled in Taekwondo and Karate, Trupti Bhatt exemplifies commitment and tenacity in her service to the community.
