Jammu Kashmir Assembly Election News: Syed Mushtaq Bukhari, the BJP candidate in the Jammu and Kashmir elections, passed away. Mushtaq Bukhari’s health was deteriorating for a long time, due to which his treatment was also going on. The BJP candidate breathed his last at the age of 75 on Wednesday morning at his residence in the Pamrot area of ​​​​Surankote in the Poonch district, after which the family was unfortunate.

The officials have also confirmed his death. Before the BJP, Mushtaq Bukhari was a leader of the National Conference Party, but before the elections, he joined the BJP. At the same time, senior leaders of the PDP and the National Conference have expressed grief over his death. Many leaders, including party candidate Nadeem Rafiq Hussain from Mendhar, mourned Bukhari’s death.

Mehbooba and Abdullah expressed grief over the death

Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mukhtar has expressed grief over the death of BJP candidate Syed Mushtaq Bukhari. He wrote on Instagram that he was saddened to learn about the demise of Syed Mushtaq Bukhari Sahab. May Allah grant him heaven and give his family the strength to bear this sorrow.

At the same time, former CM of the state, Omar Abdullah, has also expressed grief through a post on Instagram. He wrote on Instagram that he was very saddened to hear the news of the demise of senior BJP leader Mushtaq Bukhari this morning. His demise is a loss for his party and the hill people, whose interests he advocated. May Allah give him a place in heaven—my condolences to his family.

BJP had made him a candidate

In the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, BJP had made Syed Mushtaq Bukhari its candidate from Surankot, a seat reserved for Scheduled Tribes in the Jammu region. Earlier, Syed Mushtaq Bukhari has been an MLA twice. He was considered close to National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah. He had worked with the NC party for four decades.

Bukhari left the NC party in 2022. For information, let us tell you that voting has been completed in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir. Votes were cast in the first phase on 18 September, in the second phase on 25 September and in the third phase on 1 October. Now everyone is eagerly waiting for the results to come on 8 October.
