Weather Alert: Due to afternoon rain in many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, the temperature dropped significantly, which gave relief to the people from the sticky heat. The rain also caused a drop in temperature in many parts of South India. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department, i.e., IMD, has predicted heavy rains in many areas of the country.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rains in many states of the country. Many states, including UP, Bihar, Punjab, and Haryana, are expecting heavy rains. Some hilly states anticipate heavy rains. In addition, four districts of Bihar and the surrounding areas anticipate heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Several locations in West Champaran, Buxar, Kaimur, and Aurangabad have also received a warning of heavy rains. We expect the wind to be between 30 and 40 kilometers per hour. In Baghpat, Khekda, and Modinagar, UP, there is a possibility of lightning with strong winds. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Gohana, Ganaur, Meham, Sonipat, and Rohtak of Haryana. There is a possibility of light clouds in the capital, Delhi, on August 17.

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in 24 hours. Many areas of western Rajasthan, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh have received a warning of heavy rain. Telangana has issued a warning of light to moderate rain. Heavy rains may continue in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan, and Goa till August 21.
Apart from this, heavy rains may occur in Gujarat, Central Maharashtra, and Marathwada. In addition, the authorities have issued a heavy rain alert for eastern and western Uttar Pradesh from 17 to 19 August. Additionally, we anticipate light rain in western Rajasthan during these dates. Many districts of Bihar have issued a rain warning for the next three days.
