Weather Alert: Light rain was recorded in many areas of Delhi’s capital. However, today, Tuesday, the weather seems a little transparent. The sky has been cloudy since morning, and the rain has not stopped.
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain will fall in some areas of Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, and Delhi today, December 24. IMD has predicted light to heavy rainfall in various parts of India on Tuesday.
While cold wave conditions persist in many areas, according to IMD, a well-marked low-pressure area over the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal is expected to move west-southwest, which may cause rain in southern India.

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may occur in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Rayalaseema. Thunderstorms and lightning are also possible in some areas. An alert has been issued for heavy rains at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
Light to moderate rainfall may also be recorded in coastal Odisha. Light rain may occur in the western Himalayan region, including Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Cold wave conditions persist in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, they will likely prevail in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh.
Delhi Weather Forecast
According to the IMD, bad weather is also expected in Delhi on Tuesday. Partly cloudy skies are expected in most areas, and light showers may also occur. The maximum temperature is expected to be 20 degrees Celsius, and the minimum is expected to be seven degrees Celsius.
The IMD has issued an alert for snowfall in the hilly parts of Himachal Pradesh. There is also a possibility of rain here in the next 24 hours. Along with this, the weather is expected to remain clear on Christmas. According to the IMD, the weather will stay transparent in Himachal on 24 and 25 December.
Warning of dense fog
Dense fog may prevail in many states, including Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, and Assam. Due to heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, the temperature has dropped significantly.
