Weather Alert: Delhi is experiencing severe cold these days. The sun does not rise in the afternoon, and cold winds blow, making people feel cold. The temperature has dropped after light rain in Delhi in the last few days. In the morning, light fog is seen, and dense fog in some other locations, others increasing the old, is seen on trains and flights.

The Meteorological Department has also informed that dense fog may prevail in the Ganges plains during the day and in the morning. An alert regarding dense fog in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana has been issued. Fog will likely prevail in Bihar until January 11, while it will prevail in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana until January 10. A similar situation will prevail in Jharkhand until January 9.

An alert has also been issued regarding rain in the northeastern states. On January 8, light to moderate rain with thundershowers is expected in Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Tripura.

Heavy rain is expected in plain areas like Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana from January 10 to January 12.
