Cyclone Dana has started becoming active over the Bay of Bengal, due to which rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas in the coming days. Heavy rains are expected in many parts on Tuesday. However, a drop in temperature level is being seen in most areas of Uttarakhand.
Possibility of rain with storm
According to the IMD, heavy rains and storms are expected in many districts of Bengal on Tuesday. Guidelines have been issued that the rain will continue till Saturday. Fishermen have been refused to go to sea. Given the possibility of districts being affected by the storm, guidelines have been issued to remain alert.
Rain Alert in These States
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for heavy rains with thunderstorms in the coastal areas of Odisha and West Bengal from October 23 to 25. Fishermen have been advised to return to the coast by October 21.
Apart from this, a warning has been issued for heavy to hefty rains in many areas of Odisha from October 23. There is a possibility of up to 20 cm of rain in many places of the coastal region on October 24-25. Heavy rains are expected in many parts of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains can be recorded in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Mahe and Karaikal from October 21 to October 23. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected at some places in Karnataka’s northern and coastal interior areas on October 25. Similar weather can be seen in Rayalaseema on October 21.
