Weather Update – Once again the weather has started to change. The mood of the weather in the capital, Delhi-NCR, seems to have changed. People are feeling mild cold due to the lack of sunlight. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for UP regarding thunderstorms and lightning for the next two days.

The temperature has also dropped due to the effect of the western disturbance. On the other hand, the western disturbance continues to affect Jammu and Kashmir and surrounding areas, the effect of which is being seen from the mountains to the plains. There is heavy snowfall in the mountains.

Snowfall on the mountains

Not only did it rain in Kashmir in a week, but there was heavy snowfall in the mountains. In Uttarakhand, it has been raining since morning in the lower areas of the state, while an alert has been issued regarding snowfall in the high mountain areas. At the same time, there is continuous snowfall in Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

According to Skymet, a weather forecasting agency, an alert has been issued in view of light to moderate rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region on February 28. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected in South Tamil Nadu, South Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, North Punjab and North Haryana.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain with sporadic hailstorms can be seen in some parts of Punjab and Haryana. Along with this, light rain can be seen in North and Northeast Rajasthan, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, interior Tamil Nadu and some parts of Assam.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms can be seen in Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep till March 2. Apart from this, a new western disturbance is expected to affect North-West India from March 2. Apart from this, snowfall along with moderate rain can be seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh from March 2 to 5.

Weather conditions in Delhi

A light drizzle has been seen in Noida since morning. Rain can be seen in most parts of Delhi-NCR, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, rain with thunder is also expected in the states of North East. IMD has predicted winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour in the northeastern states for 24 to 48 hours.
