Weather Forecast: People are in terrible condition due to fog and cold in the national capital, Delhi, today, i.e. on January 15. The movement of trains and flights has been disrupted due to dense fog. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert was issued, given the light rain in Delhi and surrounding areas on January 15 and 16.

Talking about the weather of UP, Fatehpur was the coldest, with the maximum mercury recorded at 14.2 degrees and the minimum at 7.2 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance will be active starting Wednesday, affecting Bundelkhand, Western Uttar Pradesh.

States like UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Kashmir are witnessing a steady decline in minimum temperatures.

At 5:30 am, the temperature in Delhi was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department has forecast a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius for the day. The IMD generally forecasts a cloudy sky and light rain or drizzle throughout the day in Delhi.

According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued given rain and snowfall in various northern and hilly areas. Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad may record sporadic snowfall on January 16, while Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are likely to receive rain and snowfall from January 15 to 17.

According to the Meteorological Department, sporadic rains can also be seen in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan between January 16, while on January 15, rain with thunder can be recorded in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and western Uttar Pradesh. In South India, rain with thunder and lightning will likely occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on January 18.

According to the Meteorological Department, Kashmir Valley is experiencing a cold wave. Light snowfall will occur in high-altitude areas on January 15 and 16.

The minimum temperature in many areas of Rajasthan has dropped to 4 degrees Celsius. Light rain and hailstorms may occur in the Jaipur, Bikaner, and Kota divisions.

Forecast of rain and snowfall in Himachal

From January 16 to 19, heavy snowfall and rain are expected in the high-altitude areas of Himachal Prades. In addition, rain may cause temperatures to fall and cold to increase in regions like Shimla and Kulln.
