IMD Weather Update: Monsoon rains are continuing in many of the country’s states. Heavy rains have been seen continuously for the last few days especially in the south western states. IMD has issued an alert in view of moderate to heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

At the same time, there is a possibility of cloudy sky throughout the day in Delhi and surrounding areas. The mood of the weather is also changing daily in the capital Delhi. The fluctuating weather is significantly impacting the health of the population. People are also falling ill during this period.

There has been some relief from floods in Gujarat, but farmers have suffered a huge loss. Apart from this, the temperature level has dropped significantly due to rain in Telangana and Karnataka, which brought relief from the heat.

The Meteorological Department reports that the movement of clouds is causing drizzle in some areas of Haryana and Punjab. IMD has issued a warning of heavy rains and thunderstorms in many states of the country.

Rain warning in these states

According to the IMD, heavy rains are expected in Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana today i.e. on 10 September 2024. In addition, the IMD has predicted heavy rains and thunderstorms in Vidarbha on the 12th. Rajasthan is once again experiencing a series of torrential rains. In the next 24 hours, many parts of Rajasthan may witness heavy rains with thunderstorms.

Monsoon is likely to remain active in eastern Rajasthan for the next two-three days. According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding heavy rains in many areas of Ajmer, Udaipur and Jaipur divisions.

Heavy rains will also occur in these states

According to the IMD, heavy rains can be seen in many areas of coastal West Bengal, northern Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining northern Chhattisgarh. In addition to this, Uttar Pradesh is experiencing another rainy spell.

There is a possibility of light rain in five districts of Himachal Pradesh. Traffic is being disrupted due to closure of 40 roads in the state. The state has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in 10 out of 12 districts, with the exception of Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti.
