Weather Alert: Delhi-NCR is seeing good sunshine in the afternoon. However, the cold is still present in the morning and evening. At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, there will be light fog in UP today. The Meteorological Department predicts widespread rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. Cold wave conditions are expected to persist in different parts of Himachal Pradesh and North Rajasthan. An alert has been issued regarding snowfall in the upper areas of Himachal and Kashmir.

Heavy rain warning in Arunachal Pradesh today

A Western Disturbance (WD) is a cyclonic circulation over West Afghanistan and its vicinity. From February 8, another fresh WD is expected to affect Northwest India. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain/snowfall activity is anticipated over Arunachal Pradesh and North-East Assam on February 6-7. In addition, sporadic heavy rainfall is expected in Arunachal Pradesh on February 7.

The Meteorological Department says a new western disturbance can affect the west region starting on February 10. Light rain and light to moderate fog are possible late at night and in the morning. According to meteorologists, mild winter is expected to return before Holi.

A warning for light rain in coastal Tamil Nadu has been issued from February 8 to 11. The rest of the South Peninsula is expected to remain free from seasonal activity. According to the IMD, rain may be seen in some parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
