Weather Update: The month of September will be over in a few days. Even in the last days of September, the rain continues in most of the country’s states. Some locations are still experiencing rain today, and numerous regions across the nation have issued an alert due to the intense rainfall.

Heavy rains are continuing from North India to South India, due to which rivers, drains and ponds are filled with water. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Thane, Raigad and Palghar districts.

These districts can expect rain on Monday and Tuesday. However, the Mumbai Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain with thunder on Monday. In the hilly areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, there has been rain and thunderstorms.

Rain warning in these states

The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in many states. Rain is expected in South India between 22-24, Central, Eastern and Northeast between 23-26 September. Apart from this, rain can be seen in South Interior Karnataka in South India between 22 and 23 September, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe between 23 and 24 September.

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued in view of heavy rains in Yanam between 22-25 September, Rayalaseema, North Interior Karnataka between 22-24 September.

On the other hand, talking about Central India, the series of rains will continue in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh between 22-26 September. Madhya Pradesh expects heavy rains between 24-27 September.

Apart from this, alert has been issued for heavy rains in Mizoram, Tripura on 23-28 September, Odisha on 23-26 September, Arunachal Pradesh on 24-28 September, Jharkhand on 25-27 September, Gangetic West Bengal on 25, 26 and Bihar on 27 and 28 September.

AQI of Delhi NCR

The Central Pollution Control Board’s report recorded Delhi’s air index at 116. A day earlier on Friday, Delhi’s air index was 96 and on Thursday the air index was 56.

Ghaziabad’s air index was 116, Greater Noida’s was 158, Gurugram’s was 108 and Noida’s air index was 142.
