Do you know Yes Bank has cut fixed deposit (FD) interest rates? Yes, you’ve heard it right. Now India’s one of the biggest banks has cut FD rates by up to 25 basis points (bps) for a specific period on deposits of less than Rs 3 crore. These revised FD interest rates are effective from November 5, 2024. Post the revision, common citizens can now avail FD interest rates ranging from 3.25% to 7.75%, while senior citizens are being offered rates ranging between 3.75% and 8.25%. The highest interest rates of 7.75% and 8.25% are offered on an FD tenure of 18 months. Apart from Yes Bank, who is paying more interest in SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Canara Bank, and PNB, let’s know.

 

SBI FD Interest Rates

SBI offers interest rates ranging from 3.50% to 7.10% for general citizens and 4% to 7.60% for senior citizens. According to the SBI website, the specific term plan of 400 days” (Amrit Kalash) is getting an interest rate of 7.10% from 12th April 2023. Senior citizens are being offered an interest rate of 7.60%. The Amrit Kalash scheme will remain valid till March 31, 2025.

 

ICICI Bank FD Interest Rates

ICICI Bank is offering interest ranging from 3% to 7.25% to the general public and between 3.50% and 7.80% to senior citizens on FDs. The highest interest rate of 7.80% and 7.25% is being offered for a period ranging from 15 months to less than 18 months.

 

HDFC FD Interest Rates

HDFC Bank is offering interest rates ranging from 3% to 7.35% for general citizens and 3.50% to 7.85% for senior citizens. The highest interest rates of 7.25% and 7.75% are offered for a period of 2 years, 11 months to 35 months.

 

Canara Bank FD Interest Rates

The bank offers interest rates ranging from 4 percent to 7.25 percent for the general public and 4 percent to 7.75 percent for senior citizens on deposits maturing in 7 days to 10 years. The highest interest rates of 7.25% and 7.75% are offered for a period of 444 days.

 

PNB FD Interest Rates

Punjab National Bank offers interest rates between 3.50% to 7.25% for general citizens and 4% to 7.75% for senior citizens. The highest interest rates of 7.25% and 7.75% are offered for a period of 400 days.
