UP News: Shardiya Navratri will start on October 3 and continue till October 12. According to Markandeya Purana, nine different forms of Maa Durga are worshipped in the nine days of Navratri, and fasting is also observed. On Maha Navami, people perform Navratri havan at home and complete the fast by eating food in Dashami.
