Yuzvendra Chahal-Dhanashree Verma divorce: Yuzvendra Chahal has been in the news for quite some time regarding his relationship. A big update has come in the case of Dhanashree and Yuzvendra’s divorce. As alimony, the cricketer will give Rs 4.75 crore to his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma.

Yuzvendra and Dhanashree filed their divorce petition in court, the decision of which will come tomorrow, i.e., on March 20. How much alimony Yuzvendra Chahal will give to Dhanashree Verma has also come to light. After the decision, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal will separate from Dhanashree Verma forever, even before the start of IPL 2025.

Bar and Bench posted on X (formerly Twitter), Bombay High Court has overturned a Family Court decision that denied the request to waive the statutory cooling-off period for the divorce of cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma under the Hindu Marriage Act.

Justice Madhav Jamdar’s bench has also directed the family court to decide on the divorce petition by March 20, considering Chahal’s participation in the upcoming IPL.”

The Bombay High Court has ordered the Bandra Magistrate Court to decide on the mutual divorce proceedings of Chahal and Dhanashree by March 20. Dhanashree and Chahal were given 6 months’ time, but now the High Court has allowed this period to be waived. The High Court has given this decision because Chahal will participate in the Indian Premier League 2025 from March 22.

According to Bar and Bench, Chahal and Dhanashree have lived separately since June 2022. They decided to file a divorce petition in the Bandra Family Court in February this year. The couple also applied along with the petition to waive the waiting period. According to Section 13B (2), a family court can consider a mutual petition for divorce only after six months from the date of its filing.
