The Yogi Adityanath government of the state has made a big change (amendment) in the rules of the National Teacher Welfare Foundation and increased the assistance amount of the fund. The assistance amount given to the teachers of secondary schools of the state for the treatment of serious illness has been increased more than three times. Apart from this, the government has also given a big relief for the marriage of the daughters of deceased teachers and increased it from 10 thousand to 1 lakh rupees.

Help amount will be available in a week

At the same time, on the case of teachers suffering from serious diseases, immediate assistance of 50 thousand will be given within a week with the approval of the minister. After this, additional assistance amount will also be provided in special circumstances. For this, the applicant will have to give a certificate of the competent officer.

Order issued

In the order issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Secondary Education Department, Deepak Kumar, it has been said that applications will be taken online for the assistance of such teachers and their dependents. A portal will be created for this. The applications received on this portal will have to be disposed of within a stipulated time. A three-member committee will be formed for this.

Good news for retired employees

Deepak Kumar has also said that it is necessary to increase the fund for medical assistance of teachers suffering from serious diseases and for the assistance given for the development of their dependent daughters. Under this, a decision on making the contribution amount taken from teachers on Teachers’ Day Rs. 100 will be taken after talks with teacher organizations. At the same time, retired employees will be kept on honorarium on the posts of Assistant Secretary, Accountant, Computer Assistant and Attendant for the operation of the cell.
