Ramiz Raza on Babar Azam: Babar Azam considers one of the generational talents from Pakistan. Some months ago, he was compared with Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli. But now Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Pakistan cricket team have to face turbulent situation for some time. Babar Azam and team Pakistan are facing hard times from the ICC ODI World Cup 2024. Babar himself stepped down from captaincy; later, he was dropped from the national squad by PCB.

The Pakistan star batter has shown some glimpse of his natural batting skills, but some cricket experts still hope that the former Pakistan skipper can make a comeback. Former Pakistan cricketer, now commenter, Ramiz Raza compares Babar Azam with all-time cricket legend Sir Vivian Richards.

“I feel Babar has to achieve a lot more in Test cricket. He plays the white-ball format really well and has an average of 50-plus in both formats (T20I and ODI). There is so much potential in Babar Azam. Ab unko apne temperament se batana hai duniya mei ke woh ek Viv Richards hain (now he has to prove to the world with his temperament that he is Viv Richards). Bigger the contest, bigger the innings Richards used to play,” Ramiz Raza said this on his Youtube channel.

Babar is going through a bad patch in his career, especially in Test cricket. In his last nine Test matches with a total of 17 innings, Babar Azam has scored onyl 352 runs at an average of 20.71, with his best score being 41. In 55 Tests, Babar has scored 3,997 runs at an average of 43.92, with nine centuries and 26 fifties and a best score of 196.
