The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted generally cloudy weather in Delhi today. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected in Delhi today. At present, no warning of heavy rain has been issued till August 9.
A yellow alert has been issued for the National Capital Region including Noida from August 10 to August 12. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 33 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively. The temperature will remain the same for the next five days.
Orange alert issued in many states
IMD has issued an orange alert for many states, including Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, and Meghalaya. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh on August 10 and Uttarakhand on August 8.

Apart from this, heavy rains have been predicted in Jammu and Kashmir on August 10 and 11, in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan till August 13. The IMD press release on August 7 said, “Light rain accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning is likely over Konkan & Goa, Gujarat region, during this week. While Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra, and Kutch may receive light rains till August 14.
