To make Pahadi Aloo, you will need these ingredients:

Potatoes- 6-7

Water- 4-5 big glasses

Tomatoes- 2

Onion- 2

Green chilli- 3-4

Oil- 2 teaspoons

Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds- 1 teaspoon

Asafoetida- a pinch

Dry red chilli- 3-4

Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon

Chopped coriander- a small bowl

Prepare Pahadi Aloo in this way:

First of all, you have to boil the potatoes. After cooking the potatoes, let them cool, then mash them after peeling them. After mashing the potatoes, add tomatoes, onions, green chilli, and a glass of water and mix them all well. Now, take a wok or pan and pour oil in it. Add cumin, mustard, asafoetida, and dry red chilli, and let them cook for a while.

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt according to taste. Remember that you have to keep the flame of the pan low; otherwise, it can burn. After this, turn the vegetable and the water on the side. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes; that is too covered.

When the vegetable is ready, add green coriander and eat it hot with roti, paratha or rice.
