What is Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
The main objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide their own house to families living below the poverty line. Under this scheme, the government is benefiting the people of both rural and urban areas.
Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1,20,000 is given to the beneficiaries. This amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account in three easy installments.
Apart from this, the beneficiary is given a separate financial assistance of Rs 12,000 to build a toilet in his house.
Eligibility and Application Process
To avail of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, you must be above 18 years of age and you should not have your own permanent house. To apply, you must have a name on the ration card or BPL list.
Also, you must have a voter ID card or valid identity card and you will also have to provide an income certificate.
To apply, first go to the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and click on Aawasoft. After this, click on the data entry option and select your state and district. Then login with the help of username and password.
After this, the beneficiary registration form will open in front of you, fill in all the information sought in it correctly and upload the required documents.
After filling in all the information, submit it. You can also apply by visiting your nearest e-Mitra or CSC center.
How to check the status of the scheme
To know the status of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, first of all, you have to go to the official website. After that click on the option of Citizen Assessment in the menu section.
After this, click on the option of Track Your Assessment Status in the dropdown menu. The Track Your Assessment Status page will open in front of you, after filling in the name, father’s name, mobile number, and the required information, you can check the PM Awas Status.
How to see the beneficiary list
To see the beneficiary list of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, first go to the official website. Then click on the Awas option in the option appearing in the menu bar.
After this, click on the Report option in the drop-down menu. After that, click on Beneficiary Details for Verification in the Social Audit Reports section on the Reporting Page.
After this, you can select your state, block, district, and village on the new page and see whose name is in the Awas Yojana.
