IND vs NZ Test series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team late night on 11 October for the India-New Zealand Test series starting from 16 October. The BCCI has selected not 12, 13 or 14 but 19 players in this team and among those players are the names of young fast bowler Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy.

Let us tell you that the India-New Zealand Test series is going to start from Wednesday, October 16 and the BCCI has announced the team for this Test series last night. The command of this team has been handed over to Rohit Sharma, while Jasprit Bumrah will play the post of vice-captain. BCCI has announced a 15-member main team for this Test series. While the remaining four players have been selected as reserves.

Apart from the 15 main players, BCCI has selected four other young players, who will remain part of the team as traveling reserve and will be seen traveling with Team India in all three matches. These four players include Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mayank Yadav and Prasidh Krishna. However, the team management has not yet officially given the reason for selecting youngsters like Mayank, Nitish and Harshit in the team.

But the clear reason is that BCCI has already started preparing for the Border Gavaskar Trophy and wants to give these players some exposure so that they can be ready for the upcoming series and if needed, BCCI can include them in the main team anytime.
