2025 Suzuki Swift Sport: Suzuki has recently introduced the final edition of the Swift Sport ZC33S. It is based on the third-generation Swift. Its sales will continue from March 2025 to November 2025.
New reports suggest that Suzuki may launch the fourth-generation Swift Sport in 2026. The Swift Sport model is known for its high-performance potential. It also gets better styling and many additional features. Now its engine details have been revealed.
New Suzuki Swift Sport Engine Details
The standard model of the 4th Gen Swift now has a new 1.2-liter Z-series engine, which produces the best fuel efficiency potential in the segment and a great low-end torque of 111.7Nm. In comparison, the new 2025 Swift Sport gets a 48-volt mild-hybrid setup, while the earlier 1.4-litre turbocharged inline-four-cylinder petrol engine has been retained.
The power and torque output of the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine is 150 PS and 240 Nm. The electric drive motor supports an additional 15 PS and 59 Nm. These figures are much higher than the standard 4th-gen Swift model.
The power output of the India-spec new Swift is 81.58 PS. The new 2025 Swift Sport will be available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. It will have a front wheel drive layout.
Dimensions of the new Suzuki Swift
Talking about its dimensions, the new Swift Sport will be 3,990mm long, 1,750mm wide, and 1,500mm high. Its wheelbase will be 2,450mm. In comparison, the standard model of the India-spec 4th-gen Swift is 3,860mm long, 1,735mm wide and 1,520mm high.
The wheelbase of both models is the same. It is also revealed that the 2025 Swift Sport will have a curb weight of 960 kg. This is lighter than the current model, which will improve the power-to-weight ratio of the vehicle.
Swift Sport launch in India
Maruti Suzuki currently has no plans to launch the Swift Sport in India. The new 2025 Swift Sport is expected to be priced between 2.3 million to 2.5 million yen (Rs 13.56 lakh to Rs 14.74 lakh) in Japan. In comparison, the standard 4th-gen Swift model in India is available between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.49 lakh.
