According to some media reports, it is claimed that the new Kia which was spotted while testing is none other than the Kia’s one of the most successful vehicles Kia Carens 2nd gen also called Kia Carens Facelift.

New Kia Carens Facelift 2025: Specifications

Let’s talk about the exterior of the facelifted new Kia Carens, here it will undergo significant changes. There will be a new front bumper and new lighting clusters on the cards. The rear could also get updated. Drawing inspiration from other cars like the EV5, the MPV can feature Starmap LED accents and distinctive triangular headlights also.

Existing features such as body cladding, door side moldings, traditional door handles, and pillars A, B, and C blacked out will likely be retained unchanged. Vertically stacked taillamps with a joining LED strip at the back could add a dash of modernity.

While much will occur at the front and back, there might be barely any changes at the side. The facelift could have more aggressive alloy wheels.

2025 Kia Carens Facelift: Engine and Mileage

So, talking about the drivetrain of this new Kia’s MUV we can see it’ll be identical to the existing model.

The new facelifted version will be offered with a powerful 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 118 ps and 139 nm of torque and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The line-up is also driven by a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine that offers 169 bhp and 249 nm torque which is tuned with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT.

It also has a 1.5-liter diesel engine which generates 112 bhp of power at a torque of 251 nm and is mated with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

New Kia Carens Facelift: Interior and Features

Hoping into its cabin and here we can see massive improvements are to be done with synergies from the Syros SUV. The facelift version of Carens will come with a 30-inch Trinity panoramic screen. This setup consists of a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment module and a 12-inch LCD instrument panel accompanied by a 5-inch digital display to control air conditioning.

It also has Ventilated second-row seats that may be available for increased passenger comfort as well as front-ventilated seats as standard.

Kia Carens: Safety and Features

Due to the new norms issued by the Government of India recently, it is mandatory to give minimum 6 airbags and basic safety features in all the cars as standard.

So we can expect the new model will be available with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 360-degree camera, six airbags, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, reversing camera, downhill brake control, and tire pressure monitoring system.

However, The company has not announced anything regarding the new Kia Carens. But, according to some media reports it is claimed that the company will announce about it soon and its India debut will most probably by the end of 2025.

Considering the expected features it will cost around Rs 14 lakhs for its base and can go upto Rs 22 lakhs for its top-end variant and if it comes in this price segment in India it’ll have to face competition with Tata’s newly launched Coupe SUV Curvv and other cars.
