JSW MG Motor India has launched the all-new Comet EV Blackstorm Edition. This all-black edition of this small EV is based on the top-spec Exclusive variant, which is priced at Rs 7.8 lakh ex-showroom excluding the cost of the battery pack. Battery rental starts at Rs 2.5 per kilometer depending on the financier.
Bookings for the MG Comet EV Blackstorm Edition have started with a token amount of Rs 11,000. Let us tell you that the Comet EV becomes the fourth offering in MG India’s lineup to join the Blackstorm Edition club. Earlier, MG Gloster, MG Astor, and MG Hector have also joined the Blackstorm Edition club.
Design and Look
It has an all-black exterior theme with red highlights both inside and outside. The entire silhouette of the car remains the same, except that it gets a completely blacked-out Starry Black theme. The most interesting thing is that it has red accents everywhere.
At the front, you get Morris Garages lettering in red finish, along with red surrounds around the fog lamps and skid plate. There is also some silver finish near the headlights and along with the connected LED light strip.
Features and Safety
The MG Comet EV Blackstorm’s features list has not changed. It also has features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch driver display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual AC, and a 4-speaker sound system.
At the same time, for the safety of the passenger, safety features like two airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear parking sensor, rear-wheel disc brake, rearview camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, hill hold assist and digital key with sharing function and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) are available.
Powertrain and Range
The MG Comet EV Blackstorm gets a 17.4kWh battery pack, which claims to offer a driving range of 230 km on a single charge. Talking about the power output, this rear wheel-mounted motor produces 41bhp and 110Nm of peak torque.
