Maruti Suzuki launched its fourth generation Dzire in late 2024, which looks more stylish than before. It has many better features and at the same time this car is giving great mileage. However, the third generation Dzire is still available for commercial use as Dzire Tour. Its petrol AMT variant was driven on the road and the mileage was tested, whose mileage is surprising.

Engine and Power Train

The new Dzire is powered by a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine that generates 80bhp of power and 112Nm of torque. In the CNG variant, this engine generates 69bhp and 102Nm of torque. Apart from this, it also has an idle start/stop feature which helps in saving fuel. Talking about gearbox options, this car is available in 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT variants. According to the company, the mileage of the petrol AMT variant is said to be 25.71 kmpl.

Mileage Test in city

We tested the mileage of this car in city by driving it for a total of 78.3 kms and the car consumed 5.55 liters of petrol in 78.3 kms. After this test, the car gave us a mileage of 14.1 kmpl which is quite impressive for this car. However, the instrument cluster of the car showed us 12.7 kmpl which was slightly less than our test result.

Highway Mileage Test

When this car was tested on the highway, it ran 80.8 km. A total of 4.16 liters of fuel was consumed in 80.8 km. In this test, its actual mileage on the highway was 19.42 kmpl. This mileage was slightly less than the company’s claim but as per an automatic car, this is a great mileage. The MID multi-information display of this car showed 18.5 kmpl which was slightly less than the actual mileage. In this car, you get to see a 37-liter fuel tank, due to which this car can run more than 500 kilometers after filling the tank once.
