500 grams gram flour
400 grams sugar
400 grams ghee
Half teaspoon cardamom powder
1 to 2 drops food color
Method of making gram flour barfi:
To make gram flour barfi, take a large bowl and sieve the gram flour and add it to it. Now add milk and two tablespoons of Desi ghee to the gram flour and mix it well. Rub this mixture until the lumps of gram flour are completely gone.
After this, put the remaining ghee in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add gram flour to it and fry on low flame till it becomes light pink. When the color of the gram flour changes well, then slow down the gas and let it cool.
Place a vessel on the gas. Prepare the boiling mixture by adding syrup slowly with the help of a spoon. When this mixture starts to become sticky, turn off the gas.
Now apply ghee on the bottom of a plate and spread the gram flour evenly in it. After this, let the mixture cool down well. It may take one to two hours. Sprinkle finely chopped dry fruits over it.
