Navratri Special Recipe: As soon as the festival of Navratri arrives, a different vibrancy prevails in the house. Some get busy in the puja preparations, while others prepare the offerings for God. Various dishes have been made over the past nine days, and this time, we have brought you a unique recipe for Singhara Puri.

Singhara Puri: A confluence of taste and health

Singhara Puri is not only tasty but also beneficial for health. Many nutrients like vitamin B, magnesium, and fibre are found in water chestnut flour, which gives the body energy. So let’s know the easy way to make it:

Ingredients:

Water chestnut flour – 2 cups
Water – as required
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Rock salt – as per taste
Oil or ghee – for frying
Boiled potatoes – 2-3
Green chillies, coriander leaves – 1-2 (finely chopped)

Method of preparation:

First, grate the boiled potatoes and mix them in the flour.
Now, add rock salt, cumin seeds, green chillies, and coriander leaves, and knead them with water little by little.

Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15 minutes.

Now make small balls of dough and roll them in a round shape.

Heat oil or ghee in a pan.

Put the puris in hot oil and fry till they turn golden.

Your Singhada Puri is ready! Serve it hot and enjoy its fantastic taste during fasting.
