  • 500 grams of basmati rice
  • Finely chopped onions
  • Finely chopped tomatoes
  • Two small cardamoms

  • Two bay leaves
  • Two dried red chilies
  • 10 to 12 cashew nuts
  • Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • One teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • One teaspoon of coriander powder
  • One teaspoon garam masala
  • One teaspoon of red chili powder
  • One teaspoon of Kashmiri red chili powder
  • Two teaspoons of ghee
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Finely chopped mint
  • Ginger-garlic paste

Method of making Chicken Dum Biryani:

To make Chicken Dum Biryani, first of all, we will marinate the chicken. To marinate the chicken, you have to clean the chicken and keep it in a vessel. Add half a bowl of curd and lemon juice to it and mix well. Apart from this, you add all the ground spices to it and mash it well with your hands and apply all the spices to the chicken. Press the chicken well with your palms and keep it covered for 1 hour. Now put two tablespoons of oil in a pressure cooker and add all the whole spices and fry the onion well.

Now add the marinated chicken and cook for two to three minutes. When the chicken and spices are fried well, add one spoon of biryani masala and two spoons of ghee and cook. When the masala starts leaving oil, add washed rice to it and mix well. After 1 to 2 minutes, add finely chopped coriander and finely chopped mint and mix well. Add a glass of water and let it whistle once.
