Ingredients for making beetroot sabzi:
500 grams beetroot
One onion
One teaspoon ginger garlic paste
Half teaspoon mustard seeds
Half teaspoon cumin seeds
Two green chillies
Curry leaves
Half teaspoon turmeric powder
Half teaspoon chili powder
Two tablespoons oil
Salt according to taste
Method of making beetroot sabzi:
First of all, peel the beetroot well and grate it with the help of a grater and keep it in a plate. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan. When the oil is heated well, add half a teaspoon of mustard seeds, half a teaspoon of cumin seeds and curry leaves to it. When the tadka crackles a little, add finely chopped onions in it and fry for 1 to 2 minutes. Also add grated beetroot and fry for three to four minutes on high flame.
When the water of beetroot dries up, add ginger garlic paste and all the ground spices and mix well. After this, add salt according to taste and fry for 3 to 4 minutes. You should not overcook the beetroot vegetable as it loses its taste and its nutrients also get destroyed.
