Ingredients for making Gajar Halwa:

1 kg of carrots

500 grams of sugar

5 to 10 cashews

5 to 10 almonds

Half a teaspoon of fennel powder

Half a teaspoon of cardamom powder

Half a bowl of raisins

One bowl of ghee

One bowl of fresh cream

Method of making Gajar Halwa :

First of all, wash all the carrots thoroughly and clean them with a cotton cloth. Dry the carrots thoroughly and grate them. Put all the carrots in a cooker on low flame and let it whistle for about 8 times. Now heat a pan and add 5 to 6 teaspoons of ghee in it. When the ghee is hot, add carrots and fry them on high flame. When the carrots are fried well, add sugar as per requirement and half a teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix.

Now add fresh cream and the remaining ghee and mix well. Fry the carrots and cream well until a pleasant aroma comes out of it. Now in a separate pan, roast all the finely chopped dry fruits till light golden color and mix well in the carrot halwa.
