This chutney is also very useful during train journeys. It does not spoil quickly, and the taste remains intact. This unique combination of peanuts and garlic makes it aromatic and delicious.

Ingredients:

1 cup peanuts

2 green chillies, finely chopped

8-10 curry leaves

½ tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp oil

Salt to taste

½ cup water

1 tbsp roasted chana dal (optional)

Method:

Firstly, dry roast the peanuts on low flame. When the colour turns light golden, peel the skin.

Now, grind the roasted peanuts, green chillies, lemon juice, salt and water in a mixer. If the chutney seems thick, you can add some more water.

Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds crackle, add curry leaves and dry red chillies and fry for a few seconds.

Now add this tempering to the chutney and mix well.

Your peanut chutney is ready!
