Ingredients:

1 cup water chestnut or buckwheat flour

2 tbsp ghee

3/4 cup jaggery or sugar

2 cups water or milk

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

8-10 cashews, almonds, raisins (for garnishing)

Method of preparation:

Heat ghee – First of all, heat ghee in a pan and lightly fry the chopped nuts in it.

Roast the flour – Now add water chestnut or buckwheat flour in the same pan and roast it on low flame till it becomes golden and aromatic.

Prepare the syrup – On the other hand, heat water or milk in a pan and add jaggery or sugar to it and let it dissolve well.

Cook the halwa – Now slowly pour this syrup into the roasted flour and keep stirring continuously so that lumps do not form.

Final touch – When the halwa starts thickening, add cardamom powder to it and mix well.

Garnishing and serving – Halwa is ready! Garnish it with chopped nuts and serve hot.

Tips:

If you want, you can also add coconut powder to it, it will make the taste even more special.
