To make Falhari Bhel you need:

2 cups makhana

2 medium sized potatoes (boiled and cut into pieces)

½ cup peanuts (roasted)

½ cup potato flakes (salted) – for fasting

½ tsp black pepper powder

½ tsp roasted cumin powder

Rock salt to taste (for fasting)

1 tbsp ghee (for roasting makhanas)

2 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)

1 green chilli (finely chopped)

Pomegranate seeds (for garnishing)

Lemon juice (to taste)

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Total time: 15 minutes

How to make Falhari Bhel:

First of all heat a wok or pan.

Now add 1 tablespoon of Desi Ghee to it. When the ghee melts, add makhanas to it and fry on low flame. Fry them till they become crispy and light brown. Be careful that the makhanas do not burn.

Take a big bowl. Add roasted makhanas to it.

Now add boiled and chopped potatoes to it.

After this add roasted peanuts and finely chopped green chilies.

Now add black pepper powder, roasted cumin powder and rock salt as per taste.

Add the vrat waale aloo ke lachcha to it as well.

Mix all the ingredients well so that the spices and salt get applied on everything.

Finally squeeze lemon juice to it and mix it once again with light hands.

Garnish the bhel with pomegranate seeds and finely chopped coriander leaves.
