Ingredients for making Palak Ka Saag:
500 grams spinach
Half a bowl of finely chopped onion
Half a bowl of finely chopped tomato
One teaspoon ginger garlic paste
Half a teaspoon turmeric powder
Half a teaspoon coriander powder
Half a teaspoon red chili powder
One teaspoon Kasuri methi
Half a bowl of gram flour
Half a teaspoon dry mango powder
Two tablespoons oil
Salt according to taste
Method of making Palak Ka Saag:
First of all wash the spinach thoroughly and chop it finely. Now put the chopped spinach in the cooker and add half a teaspoon of salt with half a glass of water and cook for 3 to 4 whistles. When the spinach melts well, mash it well with the help of a masher and make a fine paste.
Now heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan. When the oil becomes hot, add half a teaspoon of cumin seeds to it and when the tempering crackles, add finely chopped onion and one teaspoon ginger garlic paste and fry it. When the onion is fried well, add half a bowl of gram flour and cook for two to three minutes. When the gram flour starts giving a light aroma, then add all the ground spices and cook the spices on medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. When the spices and onion are fried well, then add mashed spinach to it and fry on high flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
