Ingredients required for making mushroom masala:
250 grams mushrooms
Half a bowl of finely chopped onions
Half a bowl of finely chopped tomatoes
Half a teaspoon of coriander
Half a teaspoon of black pepper
Half a teaspoon of cumin powder
Half a teaspoon of chaat masala
Sabji masala
One tablespoon of chicken masala
Two dried red chillies
Two bay leaves
One cup of oil
Salt according to taste
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Method of making mushroom masala:
Wash the mushrooms thoroughly. Dry them well with a cloth and then remove the bottom stalk. Heat two to three tablespoons of oil in a pan. Heat the oil on low flame and temper with half a teaspoon of cumin, two bay leaves and two to three dried red chillies.
When the tempering crackles, add finely chopped onions and ginger garlic paste and fry well. As soon as the onions are cooked, add all the ground spices and add finely chopped tomatoes and fry well till the oil leaves.
As soon as oil appears on the masala, add mushrooms and fry well for 5 to 10 minutes. When the mushrooms are well mixed in the masala, add half a cup or one cup of water and cover and cook for 10 minutes. After this, add finely chopped coriander leaves and serve. You can keep the mushroom masala thin or thick as per your choice.
