Many types of properties are found in ragi. It contains plenty of iron and vitamin B 12. By consuming ragi, the brain develops very fast and the bones also become strong. Today we have brought a recipe of quick ragi idli in your kitchen.

 

So let’s know what ingredients we will need to make ragi!

Ingredients for making Ragi Idli:

250 grams ragi flour

 

Half bowl of semolina

 

Two hundred grams curd

 

One teaspoon mustard seeds

 

Curry leaves

 

Half chopped onion

 

Half chopped tomato

 

Half chopped capsicum

 

Half chopped carrot

 

One teaspoon Eno

 

Salt as per taste

Method of making Ragi Idli:

Mix ragi flour, semolina and curd well in a bowl and let it set for about half an hour. Now on the other hand, heat a pan and pour two teaspoons of oil in the hot pan. When the oil gets hot, add half a teaspoon of mustard, curry leaves and finely chopped chilli to it. After the tempering, add finely chopped onion and all the finely chopped vegetables and fry for five minutes.

When the vegetables are fried well, add half a teaspoon of turmeric, half a teaspoon of chilli, half a teaspoon of cumin and salt as per taste and fry for two to three minutes. Vegetables should not be cooked much because we have to mix them in the idli. Mix these vegetables well in the ragi and curd batter and also add one spoon of Eno to it. Now heat water in the idli vessel. Apply ghee well in the idli vessel and pour the ragi batter and cook it for 15 to 20 minutes.
